VIDEO:Flakes Flying Across WNC Above 5000' On NC/TN Border

Reports of Snowfall Around Wolf Laurel & Beech Mountain

Viewer Tim Davi sent in a video of snow falling at his location above 5000’ this evening in Wolf Laurel. Mping reports confirms that snow is also falling near Banner Elk & Beech Mountain, NC. This is the first reported flakes of the season for many of these high elevation locations.. and that is usually. Last year if you remember in mid October, elevations above 3500’ on the NC/TN border received a snowfall of 2”-4”. Below is the video sent in by Tim Davi. More snowfall can be expected through the evening and tomorrow morning, but little to no accumulation is expected.
