Who is AshevilleWX?

AshevilleWX was started in February of 2014 by Meteorologist Hunter Ward.  Hunter has a Broadcast Meteorology Certificate from Mississippi State University in which he obtained in 2016.  He also has degrees from UNC-Charlotte in Criminal Justice & Sociology.  Growing up in the Asheville area, Hunter attributes his love for weather initially to the Blizzard of 93', but also built off a fascination with tornado development.  Many afternoons you can find Hunter studying over various atmospheric charts, tracking the latest large storm system that will affect the US.  When Hunter isn't forecasting the weather though, he is managing the construction company that him and his father own together.  Ward Enterprises & Ventures specializes in both commercial & residential construction around Western North Carolina.  Hunter refers to his team as the "Dream Builders", and you can find some of the teams work linked on the site below.
